Greek Christmas

Hello it’s Alysa

Today I am going to talk about holidays in Greece. Where I live a traditional greeting is “kala Christouyenna.” Around Christmas time you are sure to hear many people wishing you a kala christouyenna. When we decorate for Christmas we put gifts on our tree. All the children believe that ST, Basil is the one that brings us all their gifts. My parents explained that they bring the gifts a long time ago. One of my favorite traditions is when all the women start baking a week before Christmas; our house always smells delicious throughout the week. Well goodbye for now.
