Chunnel!


The Chunnel (also known as the Channel Tunnel), Spans from Coquelles near Calais, France, to Folkestone, Kent in the UK beneath the English Channel at the Straight of Dover. At the lowest point it is 75 m (250 ft) deep an spans 50.45 km (31.35 mi) long. The addition of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) makes getting from London to Paris easy using the Chunnel. The trains used are called on High Speed 1 travel at 300 km/h (186 mph). It takes approx 2 hrs and 15 mins to get from London to Paris.
