I visited some homes of my new friends, and some of them invited me to stay for dinner. They decided to treat me with some well-known Dutch dishes. One dish was called "Bruine Bonen Soep" or "Brown Bean Soup". It was surprisingly delicious despite the appearance. The family gave me the recipe, too.

Another dish I tried was "Indo-Dutch Satay" which was pork/chicken on a stick. It is cooked with coconut milk, lime leaves, fresh ginger, and a few more ingredients. This is a dish that you must try!
That chicken on a stick looks so good!
