Italy is beast!$$$$

Hey, I'm Julie. I am 21 years old and i live in Rome, Italy.

It's a beautiful place and also it is the capital. There are many museums and Renaissance Palaces here. We have many restaurants with delicious food. Our main and most traditional dish in Rome is pasta, although we do seem to eat a lot of pizza. This can be eaten anywhere in the world, but it seems to just taste very unique in Rome. Most traditions are passed down from Rome. With most of our food, our beverage is usually wine. This tradition came from Ancient Rome when an ancient god named Bacchus decided to inspire the term "bacchanalian" to make a description of the wine celebrations they had. Back then, if you drunk a lot of wine it would mean you were getting closer to the gods. It's pretty crazy. Our most popular wine is Frascati, its cheap, but great quality. For dessert we usually have coffee and ice-cream. Coffee, they say, is enjoyed more smoking a cigarette. Although it's not always true, we can also enjoy it expresso, very strong, machaito, is a short coffee and has a dash of milk, and caffe latte, is coffee with milk and also our most traditional coffee. I would have to say that the best is machaito. Our famous delicious roman ice-cream is excellent, we like varieties of ice-cream in a cup or cone.
